They might employ their own staff or use an agency so this theme includes working with providers of support. Workers directly employed by the person they support are often called ?Personal Assistants? (P.A.s), this theme includes training and workforce development for P.A.s. Some people will need help, advice or guidance to get in control so this theme includes Advocacy and Support Brokerage as well as marketing / promotion and dissemination about personalisation. People working for Local Authorities will need to work differently to help people get in control, so this theme includes the things that they will need to do differently; this includes social workers, managers and people who work in human resources, finance and contracts departments.
