A Training Package for the Learning Disability Care and Support Workforce

To develop a training package that will raise the awareness and skills of the LD Workforce, faced with new ways of working, thus enabling them to understand and meet the challenges of meeting the individual requirements of clients who have chosen self--directed support and individualised budgets.

 

Connect Works

A multi ethnic team of people with learning difficulties is designing and piloting training for people to work as personal assistants. The team is led by a projector leader who has learning difficulties. They will be building on the work of a second team

 

Considering Individual Budgets within a Domiciliary Care Team

To investigate the workforce and business implications of people (mainly but not exclusively older people) choosing to use direct payment and individual budgets for a small private provider of domiciliary support

To identify the workforce development implications of a partnership of voluntary, statutory and private organisations developing a local workforce.
